Go wild is the motto here. You begin the experience with a walk in the forests of the Lakeland region of Finland. You will learn to identify and pick local berries like blueberries, lingonberries and raspberries, forage cep and chanterelle mushrooms and local herbs with a guide. Then its time to enjoy these delicacies over an openfire, cooked in a traditional way. The refreshing waters of the lakes are always around to enjoy a dip. Also if you think about it there aren’t too many places in the world where such amazing berries and mushrooms grow in the wild and thanks to the Finnish law of ‘Everyman’s right’ your are allowed to pick then without worrying about trespassing etc.
The lakes also are home to freshwater fish and you will be surprised what a tasty meal can be prepared from just these wild ingredients! Now this is a culinary experience beyond farm to table, it does not get fresher than this!!
