Has Covid-19 left you frustrated, sad and itching to travel at the first possible instance?
We’re here to help you make your travel possible in the safest possible manner to the Maldives – one of the first countries to open up for tourism from India without Covid-19 testing.
The Government of India and Maldives have signed an Air Bubble agreement. It means now you can fly to Maldives for leisure and holiday purpose without having the need to undergo on-arrival (Maldives) quarantine!! Till now most flights out of India were not for leisure and holidays, however due to this agreement flights to Maldives for tourism will start shortly.
Flights between India and Male are expected to start as early as first week September, 2020!
We currently don’t know the exact flight schedules but do believe that pre-pandemic airlines like SpiceJet, GoAir and IndiGo which had direct flights from Indian cities to Malé will resume operations soon.
While Maldives has been open to tourism since 15th July 2020, below is the list of requirements from the Maldivian and Indian Government. We will keep updating this page as and when there's a change in the rules from either government.
For now, here’s what Maldives Ministry of Health says:
We recommend that you possess a negative COVID-19 PCR test. This can be easily obtained, as both, the Male airport and all resorts that we work with have the facilities for you to get tested so you can easily fulfill this requirement. The test results are sent to your email Id within 24hrs.
Not to worry!
We’ve been to Maldives a few times and have explored many resorts first hand to be able to recommend which resort will be the best fit for you. Some of our favorite resorts are below
