Looking to go to Maldives for your Honeymoon, Anniversary or Holidays

You can now fly to Maldives for your honeymoon, anniversary and holiday purpose. As per Maldives’ Ministry of Tourism rules, it is now mandatory for all visitors to present a negative COVID-19 test on arrival at Male International Airport.
The test must be conducted within a maximum duration of 72 hours prior to departure for Maldives.
The certificates have to be submitted via the immigration portal 'Imuga'. An official has been stationed at Velana International Airport to ensure that all arriving travellers present the negative PCR test.

How soon can I go?

Flights between India and Male are currently with Indigo, Air India and Go Air flying from different cities of India (currently Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore) to Male.
New flight routes being added on a constant basis and therefore you can speak to our Travel Advisor before booking your flights.

So what are the New Rules for Travel to Maldives?

While Maldives has been open to tourism since 15th July 2020, below is the list of requirements from the Maldivian and Indian Government. We will keep updating this page as and when there's a change in the rules from either government.

For now, here’s what Maldives Ministry of Health says:

  • You need to fill a health declaration 24 hours before you board, and then one before you depart from the Maldives.
  • To ensure safety of all, the Maldives Health Protection Agency has made it mandatory for all tourists and other travelers entering Maldives for short – term stay to present a Negative PCR test result for Covid – 19 on arrival, effective from September 10, 2020.
  • All tourists will need to provide a negative test PCR Report in English.
  • The PCR test has to be conducted within a maximum of 72 hours prior to departure to Maldives.
  • All tourists are required to wear face masks at the airport, during domestic travel and in all enclosed public spaces.
  • With regards to your return back to India, as per current Indian government policy if you provide a negative PCR test on return at the airport - 7 days of institutional quarantine won't be required. 7 day home quarantine is recommended for safety.

We recommend that you possess a negative COVID-19 PCR test. This can be easily obtained, as both, the Male airport and all resorts that we work with have the facilities for you to get tested so you can easily fulfill this requirement. The test results are sent to your email Id within 24hrs.
