Valencia
Birthplace of Paella and home of the Holy Grail, Valencia is a friendly if slightly chaotic city. Set amid orange trees and rice paddies, Valencia's reputation as a romantic city seems more justified by its past than by its present. Hidden between modern office buildings and monotonous apartment houses, remnants of an illustrious past do remain. Valencia city is the capital of Comunidad Valenciana region of Spain and is famed for its nightlife; the wild Las Fallas spring festival in mid-March hosts the wildest street parties in Europe which lasts for an entire week; and the stunning architecture of its Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias ( City of Arts and Sciences ) is a large complex of museums. Also the dry bed of River Turia is now a verdant park you can stroll in. Valencia is also famous for Tomatina festival held in Bunol, 38kms from the city, where thousands of people participate in a tomato fight, there are parades and fireworks, music and dancing. It is held on the last Wednesday of August.

Costa Blanca

The White Coast is one of those resorts where everyone can find their place under the sun, from sophisticated towns where life goes on 24 hours a day to quaint little villages where the peace and tranquillity is feature. Running from Valencia to Alicante this coast has many famous resort towns and quaint little villages. Elegant palm lined Alicante is the capital and major city of Costa Blanca , but it is Benidorm that attracts the most visitors. Benidorm is an expansive holiday playground and tourist spot in every sense of the word. The place offers every amenity a tourist could want. Costa Blanca has one of Spain's most fertile areas. The region is renowned for its citrus trees supplied all over the world. Almond trees and date palms abounding with blossoms also blanket the earth. Every part of Costa Blanca is indeed a treasure to discover, a place to relax and enjoy.
