The Canary Islands archipelago is made up of seven major islands, all of which are of volcanic origin, located off the coast of West Africa and at a distance of some 1100 kilometres from the Spanish Mainland. The Canary Islands are divided into two Provinces, Las Palmas, comprising Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, which includes Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro.

La Palma Island
It is no coincidence that this island is known as "La isla bonita", or the pretty island. Home to almost intact natural resources, with landscapes of remarkable beauty, La Palma is the green island which reveals a multitude of colours beneath one of the best skies in the world in terms of astronomic observation. For this reason, you won't be surprised to find that the most important astrophysics observatories in the northern hemisphere are situated here. The volcano is also a major attraction.

Tenerife Island
Two World Heritage Sites, one National Park, and 42 natural protected spaces are some of the treasures to be discovered in Tenerife. It is dominated by the 3718 meters high volcano Mount Teide with its mighty crater. The Teide is not only the highest mountain of all Spain, but also the mountain with the highest elevation in all the Atlantic Ocean.

Gran Canaria Island
A "miniature continent": that is how Gran Canaria is described, with its incredible variety of landscapes and microclimates which make it unique. Hardly anywhere else you can find such different landscapes and even climatical zones being geographically that close one to each other: mountain massives, desert land, tropical forests. Along the seaside there are wide beaches of sand, and while elsewhere people are shuddering of cold, here the tourists are lying in the sun and looking at those mountainpeaks being covered with snow the capital Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a city that has one of the best climates in the world, and it is a cosmopolitan and dynamic centre, where you will find everything you can imagine.

Fuerteventura Island
Think of long, untouched beaches of white sand, set in a coastline bathed by the ocean with calm transparent water that invites you to relax in evocative intimacy. There is no better place to glide out on a surf board or windsurf across a turquoise sea and take advantage of the wind. Only a narrow channel separates Fuerteventura from the African continent and thanks to the caves, tunnels, overhangs and rock formations to be found on its ocean beds its great for diving as well.

Lanzarote Island
Discover the magic of Lanzarote by exploring the spectacular volcanic landscapes which seem to come from distant planets, and where the heat from the centre of the earth shoots to the surface. Most surprising is perhaps the region of Geria, with vineyards between volcanic craters.

La Gomera Island
A jewel of nature. That's how you will describe this island when you go back home. You'll have to make an imaginative effort to find the words to describe its landscapes, especially the green forest formed by species that disappeared in other parts of the world millions of years ago, but which have survived here and will amaze you. Particularly interesting are the population's very old and original popular customs.

El Hierro Island
Imagine a paradise for underwater diving. Yes, this is El Hierro, the island that is bathed in transparent waters, where lovers of diving come every year from all over the world to photograph one of the best ocean depths of the planet. Relax and chill out in this small corner of the Atlantic that overflows with an abundance of nature.
